Garrett's 4-month appt ends in...

him eating cereal.
Garrett had his 4 month check up.  He weighed in at 13 lbs 1 oz.  Exactly 5 lbs gained in his 4 months of life.  He measured in at 25.7 inches.  A one inch growth in about 2 or 3 weeks.  That is just craziness.  That means that Garrett is in the 10% for his weight and 75% for his length.  The length is good but the weight, not so good.  I started feeding him cereal once a day to help with the weight gain.  I was hoping to wait until he is 6 months but I just needed a bit of help getting him plumped up.
He was also worried about Garrett's muscle tone.  It seems that he has too much muscle tone in his legs and arms.  He is worried that if we do not work on it that Garrett will need to have to wear special shoes to keep his feet more flat footed and possibly therapy.  If that doesn't work then down the road he may need surgery.  I doubt that it would come to any of that though.
We will see how things are in a month when the doctor wants to see him again.
I am going to leave you with a few pictures of him eating cereal for the first time.

Cody's last T-ball game ever

Well, it is official, my first born is growing up.  He is moving on up to 1st grade and now he is finished with T-ball.  Who said these boys were allowed to grow up the way they are?
I remember being so upset that he was old enough to start kindergarten and then the agonizing over whether he was ready or not to finally deciding to hold him back.
It was just last year that he started T-ball.  He loved it from the minute he started.  My boys have been brainwashed from the minute they were born that baseball is THE sport.  Not that I am going to complain.  I know a lot more about baseball than any other sport.  I do not mind watching football or basketball but it is baseball I know about.  Afterall, I do have a younger brother that loved baseball when he was younger.  I sat through a many games of his as well.
I, of course, had to bring the camera for his last game.  Of course when I took the pictures I was just thinking this was going to be his last game of the season but then it donned on me that this will be the last time he played T-ball again.  Next year he will be playing what is called coach-pitch.  I can't believe my baby is growing up.
I took quite a bit.  As much as Garrett would allow anyway.  I also shot a few of Wyatt, doing what he does best during the games.

I just love how these two previous pictures turned out.

Those players in the background are the ones that are running after the ball Cody hit.  He has gotten so good at hitting.  The coach of this team got to where she would tell her team to move back because "this kid can hit"  :D  Talk about one proud momma.

Here are some shots from the after game party.  The kids, I think, had the most fun at the party then they did at the games.  I am glad though.  Jason was lucky and had some awesome parents who gave him a really neat mirror with all the kids names on it and he also got a card with a gift certificate to Famous Dave's restaurant, which was used the very next day.

Summer Fun

Wyatt has been bugging to get on the slip 'n slide for months now, maybe since January.  We bought the boys one of the cheap-o plastic pools as well.  I figured that is something that Garrett would be able to enjoy as well.
Yesterday was the day.  I got the boys all suited up.  Got Garrett in his new shirt and swimmers and set out to get the boys in the pool to enjoy some summer sun.

Instead this is what happened.
After yelling at the older boys for splashing (only because of Garrett being so close) I finally told them to get out and no more pool.  So I put Garrett down for a nap and then started feeling bad for yelling at them for having fun and decided to let them play in the pool some more.
Instead they wanted to play on the slip 'n slide.  So, I got it out and set it up.  I am glad I did, a year has made a difference for Wyatt.  He hated the slip 'n slide last summer but this year...I was beginning to wonder if either one of them were ever going to get off the thing.
Here are some pictures I got...

Cody's last day of kindergarten

...was today.  He went in first thing this morning.  We were to return at 10:30 for a program that the entire kindergarten kids held for us family members.  I was sure I was going to cry, so was Cody.  I got teary eyed but I was able to hold myself together.
The kids sang several songs that they learned throughout the year.  It was explained that for every song they sang there was a lesson they learned.  He sang song's like "America" to "The number rock" and one called "Who let the letters out".
Here is my movie reel of pictures.  I am going to also include a couple pictures I got of him during his class presentation we went to on Wednesday.

4 months old

Today Garrett hit the 4 month mark.  I can't believe it.  It seems that everyday just passes by so quickly.
Garrett had a rough week a few weeks back.  He was having issues going to the bathroom and it lasted for 9 days.  We finally took him to the doctor because he also developed a cold.  That we had under control but we were concerned that he was having all this all at once.  The poor guy had to deal with some x-rays which revealed no reason why he couldn't go to the bathroom.  But we did find out the kiddo not only had to go to the bathroom, a cold but also had thrush.  I had no clue.  I have never had to deal with that before.  It looked like it was in the early stages, it started going away after just one or two days of medicine.  We are on day 9 of medicine now and it looks to be completely gone but the medication is supposed to be used for 10 days so that is what we are going to do.
At the doctor's appointment that weighed and measured him as usual.  He is 12 lbs and 9 oz and measured about 24 and 3/4 inches long.  He is about 9 oz bigger than Wyatt was at the same age and about an inch longer.  So, it looks like he might be the one towering over his other brothers.
Here are some pictures I got of him on his 4 month birthday.
