Christmas already?

Veteran's Day was the only day we could conceivably take the boys to see Santa.  I know, it is November and we still haven't made it to Thanksgiving but what can you do when you have so much going on.
The boys had a great time racing Monster trucks, slot cars, trains and shooting a crossbow and regular bow.
After that we did a bit of shopping and went to dinner at the restaurant connected to Bass Pro Shops.  How could we resist?  The boys got a free meal just for visiting with Santa Claus.
We were all shocked that Garrett had such a big smile because he was having a crabby day.  I knew he was tired and hungry but now that he is mobile he refuses to sit long enough to fall asleep.
We hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season this year.

38 years

Sunday, the 7th, was Jason's 38th Birthday.  It wasn't the birthday I wanted to give him but he was okay with that.  Don't worry I will make up for it in 2 years when he is 40.  I am thinking about a 70's theme.  What do you guys think?  Start giving me ideas now, if you can, please.
So we took the boys to a movie on Saturday, Megamind.  It was cute movie.  I love how it showed that being the bad guy isn't the way to find friends.  I do hope my boys learned a lesson or two.
For dinner Jason made eggplant parmesean, oh how wonderful is eggplant parmesean.  I know, he made his own birthday dinner but what can I say...I cannot cook the way he can cook.
Sunday I let him watch some of his hunting shows before heading to church.  By the time we got home it was getting dark.  I had him open up the present his mom sent him and then made the boys mac-n-cheese (they aren't as fond of eggplant parmesean as we are).

The boys were bugging about cake, which I did make for him, so we got the cake ready and sang happy birthday.  Finally the boys left us alone about the cake.
It wasn't the best birthday, like I said before, but it was Jason's kind of day.
He did buy himself a new gym bag and shirt (for Thanksgiving) from Cabela's so we considered that his birthday presents, besides we are trying to cut down on our items since we are moving.

Growing

Just the other day we got Cody's first grade pictures.  I can't believe how much he has changed in just one year.  I was looking at his kindergarten pictures and then his 1st grade picture.  I know there wasn't much of a change but enough to notice.  I can't believe that in just a few weeks he will be a big 7 year old.  As soon as I scan in a picture I will post it here for you all to admire  :)

I know I am a few days late but I finally remembered to get pictures of Garrett since he turned 9 months old on Tuesday (Election Day).
He is crawling now.  Once he learned how to do that he is all over the place now.  It is cute though, he gets so excited that he tries to "run" crawl and then forgets to either move his hand or his foot and almost falls.  He has also realized that he can use objects to get on his knees and now stand up (still holding on to some piece of furniture).  I swear before the end of the year he should be walking if he keeps progressing like he has been.
Here are a few of the pictures I got this morning.

This is my favorite and I think it is the only one where I got a decent smile.
This is usually the look Jason gives me at the end of the day.  Gotta love that hair.  Still not ready to give hima  haircut though.

Halloween Festivities

Since I am behind in posting I will give the run down of everything from the pumpking patch, trunk or treating, pumpkin carving and trick or treating in one big lump of a post.
Here are a few from the pumpkin patch:

Cody made the bell ring on his first swing.

This is just a picture I took because i thought it was a great fall picture.
This is all the loot the boys got from their Nana and Auntie Monica.

Okay, here is the fun time at the church for trunk or treating:

Pumpkin carving:
Can you believe Jason is still so new to the pumpkin carving festivities?

Wyatt's pumpkin (I actually ended up doing all of it).

All three of the boys made these with their Aunt Tanya when they visited her while Daddy and I went to the temple.

Okay here is a few from trick or treating:

Garrett was woken up from a nap so we can get trick or treating.  He was non to happy to not only be woken up but also to have to have that silly thing on his head  : )
