Crazy me

I completely forgot that I was going to post pictures of me from the birthday party/Girl's night out/Mother's Day celebration that I got the chance to go to.
Jason made sure I went and I have to admit, I was tempted to not go (I just feel so guilty not being with the family when we have a chance to be home and annoy enjoy each other's company.
I am SO glad I went.  Although when I set out to go I didn't know what I was in for.  The plan was to get a pedicure

Then we went out for dinner at this great Oriental restaurant that just so happened to have been recommended to us by a friend of Jason's before we even got here.

And then we went to play miniature golf

Now you see what I meant by "didn't know what I was getting into".  Apparently this is a yearly event for these ladies.  I had a blast though.  I couldn't believe it when I saw the tutu's.  I knew we were getting special flip flops (which I love) but didn't know about the crown, gigantic ring or the crown.
I admit I was tempted to run back home and say, forget the whole thing.  But you know what?  It is fun to be silly.  I loved hearing all the comments.  Some people were brave enough to ask why were dressed up and other's speculated.  We were even thought to have been a bridal party.
Unfortunately the birthday girl is moving (to Alaska, I am so jealous) but has warned us that we better keep up the tradition and I do hope we can.
I needed the girl's night and hope to get more chances.  Not sure about doing the whole get up everytime but it was fun.
Don't you just love the idea of an indoor miniature golf course that is GLOW IN THE DARK???  I so want to go back.  It was even better that it was themed.  I had so much fun seeing all the things I used to play with or watch when I was a kid.  I almost bought me some gloves they had in the gift shop for Jason's bday party next year (the big 4-0) that will be 80s themed.
Well, I think that is about it for now.
Today was Cody's last day as a 1st grader.  I have a picture of him with his teacher here so I will be sure to discuss it more next week.  Plus, we have a fun filled weekend planned.  Jason also has a 4 day weekend so we are going to Deadwood (where Wild Bill Hickok was killed) and then off to ride an 1880s train and chuckwagon show afterwards and lastly, to round out the weekend, a trip to Custer State Park.  I sure hope we all have the stamina to last the whole weekend.
Have a great Memorial Day!!!
