Our first real snow fall

It is February 20th and we have been in South Dakota for about 3 weeks.  We finally experienced what I would call a real snowfall.  It was so bad that the base put road conditions as RED.  That means that only essential personell are supposed to be on the roads.
We did not make it to church for that specific reason.  Well, that and because we didn't to venture out in this weather and possibly make all the colds that are finally going away start back again.  Most wards cancelled church today due to the weather but we were having Ward Conference and apparently a new Bishopric was called, so they didn't cancel our ward meetings.
After bumming around all morning and some of the afternoon I decided to take a shower and start shoveling the snow off the driveway.  Jason soon followed and finished most of the driveway.  After a long time the boys finally followed us outside.  Once they were out they had a blast.  The only reason Wyatt came in is because he got hurt wrestling with Cody.  Cody came in because he was the last one out and Garrett, well, he HATED the snow.  He reminded me of Cody.  We actually have a picture of Cody the first time we brought him out in the snow of Alaska.  He was screaming, of course once Jason picked him up he was all smiles.  The same can be said for Garrett today.
It was so awesome being back in the snow again.  Seeing snow makes me want to be a kid again.  I want to throw snowballs and build snowmen but this snow is not snowball or snowman worthy.  It was to light and fluffly for that, which actually made for a fairly easy shoveling job.

Had to show off the snow accumulation on the sign my parents made us while living in Alaska.
There is something about a snow covered bench that makes me happy.

Wyatt looks like he is snowboarding
This is a great picture showing off Wyatt's personality.
This proves we were in California way too long.
This sums it all up.  When Cody was old enough to be in the snow this is exactly what he did as well.
My innocent little man.  I love it.
This is the look he had on his face basically the whole time we were outside.
Happy, warm and drinking some yummy milk.
